University Housing at the University of Georgia is seeking a Night Desk Assistant to support late-night desk operations and provide information to residents and visitors. This on-site role emphasizes customer service, access control, and administrative support within a busy university housing office in Athens.

The position requires enrollment at least half-time, good standing with student conduct, and availability for mandatory training in early January 2027.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled at least half-time when classes are in session (minimum hours vary by term).
• Must be in good standing with Student Conduct and University Housing.
• New applicants should be available Jan 4–8, 2027 for mandatory training (non-negotiable).

Responsibilities

• Follow desk policies, including key management, equipment check-out and access control.
• Address incidents and policy violations per protocols.
• Provide exemplary customer service to residents, guests, faculty and staff.
• Serve as a resource for Housing and university operations information.
• Support office staff with administrative tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Enforce and abide by university and department policies and regulations.
• Assist in opening/closing residence halls and during breaks or holidays.
