Job summary

Fortrea is seeking a Research Technician for a full-time overnight weekday shift in Dallas, TX. The role involves direct interaction with healthy volunteers, performing venipuncture, vital signs, ECG preparation, and sample handling in a fast-paced, protocol-driven environment.

The ideal candidate will have phlebotomy experience and a high school diploma, with EMT/CNA certifications considered; about 1 year of related work is expected. Office-based laboratory setting with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy experience required.
• EMT, CMA or CNA certification preferred.
• 1 year of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Interact directly with healthy volunteer participants and learn to read clinical research protocols.
• Accurately perform blood pressure, venipuncture, weights, pulse, respiratory rate, and temperature readings.
• Prepare and record ECGs/Holters accurately.
• Collect and process biological samples as specified in the protocol and ensure proper distribution of samples.
• Monitor meals to ensure dietary compliance by participants.
• Assist in room and medical equipment preparation.
• Assist with screening procedures as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient working and study environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
