Job summary
Dragonfly Health in the United States is seeking an experienced Clinical Consulting Pharmacist to join an overnight after-hours team. You will provide clinical review on medication requests, prior authorizations, and benefit determinations, while supporting cost-effective therapy choices.
The role requires an active R.Ph license (PharmD preferred) and current PA or TN licensure, with 1+ year of pharmacy experience.
Qualifications
- R.Ph required; PharmD preferred.
- Active license in PA and/or TN; ability to obtain other state licenses as needed.
- 1+ year of pharmacy experience preferred (retail, hospital, or managed care).
- Strong communication, analytical, and consultative skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical review and consultation on medication requests, prior authorizations, and benefit determinations.
- Evaluate therapy appropriateness, dosing, and safety based on evidence-based guidelines.
- Collaborate with providers to clarify prescriptions and suggest alternatives when appropriate.
- Support complex case reviews and appeals with accurate clinical documentation.
- Identify opportunities to improve medication adherence, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
- Educate internal teams on formulary management, utilization review, and pharmacy policy updates.
