Job summary

The role requires overnight driving, precise pre-trip inspections, and strong communication with dispatch.

You will be responsible for safe vehicle operation, load verification, and timely handoffs, helping ensure branches open stocked and ready each morning.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license is required.
• DOT certification required.
• Ability to operate tractor-trailer with manual transmission.
• Reliable overnight/night-shift availability.
• Strong communication with dispatch and branches.

Responsibilities

• Operate transfer trucks on inter-branch routes.
• Move materials between Shepherd branches and distribution points.
• Verify manifests and load accuracy before departure.
• Communicate ETAs and delays to dispatch and receiving branches.
• Represent Shepherd professionally at customer/job-site stops.
