Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a dedicated delivery driver to support our food service distribution operations. The role involves driving a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes, delivering and unloading food products to customers, and ensuring on-time, safe deliveries in compliance with DOT regulations.

The position requires a valid CDL-A, at least 6 months of commercial driving experience, and the ability to lift up to 90 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 6+ months commercial driving experience required.
• Valid CDL-A license required.
• 21+ years of age or older.
• Meets state licensing/certification requirements where applicable.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test.
• DOT Health Card current or able to secure one.
• Ability to lift and move product cases up to 90 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and coworkers.
• Perform safety checks and inspections per DOT regulations.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Report safety hazards and required repairs.
• Deliver and unload products to customers following route schedules.
• Obtain customer signatures and handle payments when required.
• Complete required freight paperwork accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organize trailers and docking areas.
• Complete daily hours-of-service logs.
