Job summary

Visiting Angels Amarillo is seeking an Overnight Caregiver to provide compassionate care in various settings in Amarillo, TX. Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, monitoring health, preparing meals, light housekeeping, and medication administration. Experience with memory care and HIPAA compliance is valued.

Qualifications

• Home health or hospice care experience.
• Experience with individuals with disabilities or developmental disorders.
• Knowledge of first aid and CPR.
• Familiarity with patient monitoring and vital sign assessment.
• Experience in memory care or Alzheimer's care settings.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for client support.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with ADLs (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting).
• Monitor vital signs and observe health or behavior changes.
• Prepare meals and assist with meal planning per dietary restrictions.
• Keep spaces clean and safe with light housekeeping.
• Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans.
• Engage clients in social activities for mental stimulation and well-being.
• Use equipment such as Hoyer lifts for transfers.
• Document care and communicate with healthcare professionals about changes.
