Job summary

Interim HealthCare in Rapid City, SD is seeking a compassionate Caregiver for four overnight shifts per week, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, totaling 32 hours.

As a caregiver you will assist with ADLs, prepare meals, help with light housekeeping, and provide meaningful companionship to help seniors stay safe, comfortable, and independent at home.

We offer training, supportive team, competitive pay of $17–$20 per hour plus a $1.50 overnight differential, and benefits like health insurance and 401k.

Qualifications

• Must have valid South Dakota driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and provide safe at-home care.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support for seniors living at home.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, and light housekeeping.
• Offer companionship and monitor condition; report concerns to supervisor.

As a Caregiver, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies

A few must-haves for Caregivers:

• Valid South Dakotadriver’s license, auto insurance and reliable transportation
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be 18 years of age or older
