Job summary

Interim HealthCare is seeking caring and reliable Caregivers to help seniors live safely at home in Spearfish and surrounding communities. Part-time positions available with the ability to set your own schedule.

You’ll assist with bathing, dressing, meals, transportation and companionship while building skills through online CEUs. Earn $17.00 to $20.00 per hour with bi-weekly pay, 1:1 client ratios, and holiday pay plus paid travel.

Qualifications

• Must-have: valid South Dakota driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Compassionate, patient, and good communicator with ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to seniors to live safely at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meals, shopping, transportation and companionship.
• Assist with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders and report any concerns to a supervisor.
• Create a safe home environment and engage clients in joyful activities such as puzzles, games, and reading.

As a Caregiver, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home

• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies
