Qualifications

• Ability to work effectively with people differing in value systems, ethnicity, cultural backgrounds, language capabilities and disabilities.
• Exercise good judgment and respond calmly in emergency situations.
• Must pass a criminal records clearance as required by the County of Santa Clara Department of Alcohol and Drugs regulations.
• Receive training and pass certification testing in HIPAA, 42 CFR and CPR/First Aid once county clearance is received.

• Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and ongoing client needs in chart and shift log notes.
• Perform urinalysis testing as needed.
• Educate and remind clients of the rules, policies and procedures of the facility.
• Establish appropriate boundaries amongst clients and staff, ensuring professional and courteous interactions and fostering opportunities to implement newly developed life skills.
• Assist with medication monitoring, counting, and compliance as needed.
