Job summary

OneBlood in Petersburg, VA is seeking a dedicated Transport Driver to move blood, products, campus mail, supplies, and medical equipment between processing centers, branches, and hospitals. The role requires careful driving, log maintenance, and safe handling of blood products.

Schedule is full-time from Thursday to Monday, 7:00am–3:30pm, with required training 7:30am–4:00pm for 1–2 weeks. Some shifts may include differential pay of $1.50–$4.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Six months to one year route delivery experience preferred.
• Current and valid driver’s license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Transport blood, blood products, campus mail, supplies and medical equipment between sites.
• Deliver inventory to designated points within routes and assist in emergency deliveries.
• Maintain logs of items received and delivered and document daily activities.
• Perform basic vehicle safety checks and report issues to supervisor.
• May back-up on-call driving for other shifts or routes.
