Avenues Recovery Center in Richmond, VA is seeking a BHT Shift Supervisor for our new inpatient Detox and Residential facility. The overnight shift runs from 11pm to 7am, with responsibilities across admissions, supervision, and client care.

You will lead BHTs, ensure safety and adherence to policies, and support both clinical and administrative tasks in a recovery-centered setting. A compassionate, reliable demeanor is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license and CPR certification preferred.
• If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety required.
• Strong interpersonal and multitasking skills.
• Warm, compassionate and empathetic personality.
• Dignified character that models recovery principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational support to medical and clinical teams (admissions, transportation, meals, medication, supervision, phones etc.).
• Engage and build rapport with clients, creating a warm, accepting recovery environment.
• Monitor clients and enforce all policies to ensure safety of clients and staff.
• Record and escalate any critical communication/incidents in a timely manner.
• Fulfill all administrative duties (shift documentation, inventory, meetings, office support).
• Oversee all BHTs on your shift and provide training and support.
