Universal Health Services in Austin, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Behavioral Unit. This full-time role offers 36 hours per week with full benefits and an overnight shift, with opportunities for overtime and shift coverage if desired.

The unit provides neurobehavioral and psychiatric care with a focus on patient safety and treatment planning. A BSN is preferred; Texas RN license and CPR certification are required.

Formación

• Knowledge of nursing assessment, diagnoses and interventions.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school; BSN preferred.
• Current Texas RN license; CPR certification; Driver’s license not required.
• One year inpatient psych experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Direct the implementation of medical management programs and ensure carry-through.
• Provide training and education to staff, patients and families; document care.
• Work with the treatment team to maintain a therapeutic milieu.
• Ensure environmental safety and crisis management for patients.
