Job summary

Center For Family Services seeks an experienced Behavioral Health Technician for its Crisis Diversion Home Program, a 24-hour residential setting for adults recovering from mental health crises. The role emphasizes supervision, structured activities, and supportive counseling to promote safety and independent living.

The position requires leadership, patience, and strong interpersonal skills to engage residents, coordinate with clinical staff, and reinforce program rules.

Qualifications

• BA in Social Work, Counseling, Health Services or related field preferred
• At least three years experience in behavioral health preferred
• Must be able to lead, be a role model, and relate positively to clients

Responsibilities

• Assist with admissions and orientation on new client admissions
• Maintain inventory and secure valuables in safe
• Facilitate orientation groups with clients
• Provide supervision and supportive counseling to residents
• Co-lead recreation and daily living skills activities
• Maintain logs and ensure continuity of care during shifts
• Participate in staff meetings and trainings
• Ensure client safety and adherence to program rules
