Job summary

Tiny Boxwoods Commissary is seeking an experienced Overnight Bakery Manager to lead overnight production, supervise staff, and ensure quality, safety, and timely delivery across our bakery, restaurants, retail, and catering operations. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years in bakery production, strong leadership, scheduling, and inventory skills, and a commitment to food safety.

Overnight availability and team development experience are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; culinary, baking, pastry, or related education preferred.
• Manager Food Handler Certification required or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Minimum of 3 years bakery, pastry, or food production experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of leadership/supervisory experience in bakery/food production/hospitality/restaurant.
• Experience in training and developing team members.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume production environments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and business software systems.
• Experience with Restaurant365 and Toast preferred.
• Flexible overnight, weekend, holiday, and extended shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise overnight bakery employees, including team leads and production staff.
• Train, onboard, and develop new team members to ensure production standards.
• Oversee production and presentation of breads, pastries, desserts, and specialty items.
• Monitor production timelines to ensure on-schedule completion and distribution.
• Maintain quality control, safety, and cleanliness throughout the bakery area.
• Manage inventory levels and ordering of ingredients, supplies, and packaging materials.
• Keep production records and logs; review communications and schedules.
