PCC Community Markets in Madison Valley, Seattle, is hiring an Overnight Bakery Helper Clerk to prepare, package, label baked goods, and provide professional customer service. The role involves baking off cookies, packaging, and maintaining sanitation of the deli and bakery area.

Starting wage is $21.55 per hour with a $1.50 night differential when applicable. WA Food Worker Card, standing for long periods, and teamwork are required; weekend availability is needed.

Qualifications

• Available to work the overnight shift, including weekends.
• Must have excellent attention to detail.
• Previous food preparation experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic math skills for measurement and scale functions.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be able to meet physical requirements of standing, twisting, bending, repetitive motion, and lifting 10-40lbs regularly.
• A current Food Worker Card from the Washington State Department of Health is required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Proven ability to perform excellent, professional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Baking off cookies, scones, and other items from the commissary.
• Packaging and retail merchandising for the deli and bakery items.
• Perform basic food preparation in accordance with PCC recipes.
• Rotating product on the retail shelves, back room, freezer, and cooler.
• Setting the bake case with product and proper signage.
• Unloading incoming orders from the commissary and labeling items.
• Ensures department sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards are met.
• Becomes knowledgeable about deli products, specialty foods, baked goods, and prepared foods.
• Provides excellent, professional customer service.
