Job summary

PCC Community Markets in Seattle seeks a Night Crew Lead to supervise Night Crew staff and support grocery operations, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and merchandising. You will ensure quality and safety standards while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and the ability to manage time and physical tasks in a grocery environment; overnight shifts and weekends are required.

Qualifications

• Overnight shift availability including weekends.
• Experience in grocery and ordering operations.
• Proven leadership and communication abilities.
• Food Worker Card required.
• Food safety certification is required (e.g., ServSafe).
• CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Must meet physical demands including standing, bending, twisting, and lifting 10–40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and coaches Night Crew staff.
• Place grocery orders, receive and check orders, store and rotate products, and process invoices.
• Stock and face products throughout the store.
• Stock and face grocery displays per merchandising plan.
• Maintain organic standards for bulk department.
• Operate equipment per PCC standards.
• Ensure sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards are met.
• Model and provide professional customer service.
• May handle price changes and signage.

Overview

The Night Crew Lead oversees the Night Crew staff. They assist in the operation of the Grocery Department by placing grocery orders, receiving and checking incoming orders, storing and rotating products, arranging credits from vendors and processing invoices. They stock and face grocery displays with attention to quantity, quality, timeliness, appearance of displays and the merchandising plan.

• Proven ability to provide excellent, professional customer service
• Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
• Previous grocery and ordering experience required
• Excellent leadership, teambuilding and communication skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be able to meet physical demands including standing, bending, twisting, repetitive motion, and lifting 10-40lbs on a regular basis
• A current Food Worker Card from the Washington State Department of Health is required
• If hired into this role, a Certified Food Protection Manager certification (for example ServSafe) is required (paid for by PCC)
• If hired into this role, a CPR/First Aid Certification is required (paid for by PCC)

Comp Details

Starting Wage: $31.15/hour. Additional $1.50/hour Night Differential when applicable.
