Job summary

Save More Food Market in Minocqua, Wisconsin is seeking a dependable Overnight Baker to join the Bakery Department. The role bakes fresh products, fries donuts, and ensures everything is ready for customers each morning, with an overnight pay premium above the regular hourly wage.

Responsibilities include preparing breads, pastries, donuts, following recipes and schedules, monitoring equipment, maintaining quality, packaging, labeling, and keeping the bakery area clean and sanitary for opening

Qualifications

• Must be dependable and comfortable working independently overnight.
• Experience in bakery or food production preferred, but we are willing to train the right person.
• Ability to follow recipes, production plans, and food-safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality products.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be available to work overnight hours, including weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, bake, and finish breads, rolls, pastries, cookies, and other bakery products
• Fry, glaze, fill, frost, and decorate donuts
• Follow established recipes, production schedules, and portion standards
• Monitor ovens, fryers, proofers, and other bakery equipment
• Ensure products meet our standards for freshness, appearance, taste, and quality
• Package, label, price, and stock completed bakery products
• Maintain appropriate production levels while minimizing waste
• Keep work areas, equipment, utensils, and floors clean and sanitary
• Follow all food-safety, sanitation, and fryer-safety procedures
• Assist with inventory, ingredient rotation, and preparation for upcoming production
• Work independently to complete daily production and have the bakery ready for opening
