Job summary

Save More Food Market in Minocqua, Wisconsin is seeking an Overnight Baker to join the Bakery Department. You will prepare, bake, fry donuts, and ensure fresh products are ready for customers each morning.

This position includes an overnight pay premium in addition to the regular hourly wage, with responsibilities such as monitoring ovens, following recipes, and maintaining quality and safety standards during the night shift.

Qualifications

• Willing to train the right person.
• Experience in bakery or food production preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and production plans.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be available to work overnight including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, bake, and finish breads, rolls, pastries, cookies, and other bakery products
• Fry, glaze, fill, frost, and decorate donuts
• Follow established recipes, production schedules, and portion standards
• Monitor ovens, fryers, proofers, and other bakery equipment
• Ensure products meet standards for freshness, appearance, taste, and quality
• Package, label, price, and stock completed bakery products
• Maintain appropriate production levels while minimizing waste
• Keep work areas, equipment, utensils, and floors clean and sanitary
• Follow all food-safety, sanitation, and fryer-safety procedures
• Assist with inventory, ingredient rotation, and preparation for upcoming production
• Work independently to complete daily production and have the bakery ready for opening
