Job summary

Save More Food Market in Minocqua, Wisconsin is seeking a dependable Overnight Baker to join the Bakery Department. This role includes an overnight pay premium on top of the regular hourly wage and helps start each day with fresh bakery products.

You will bake breads and pastries, fry donuts, monitor equipment, and ensure food-safety procedures while preparing for opening. Prior bakery or food-production experience is preferred, with training available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Must be dependable and able to work overnight.
• Previous bakery, donut-frying, restaurant, or food-production experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person.
• Ability to follow recipes, production plans, and food-safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality products.
• Ability to manage time effectively and complete production by established deadlines.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be available to work overnight hours, including weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, bake, and finish breads, rolls, pastries, cookies, and other bakery products
• Fry, glaze, fill, frost, and decorate donuts
• Follow established recipes, production schedules, and portion standards
• Monitor ovens, fryers, proofers, and other bakery equipment
• Ensure products meet our standards for freshness, appearance, taste, and quality
• Package, label, price, and stock completed bakery products
• Maintain appropriate production levels while minimizing waste
• Keep work areas, equipment, utensils, and floors clean and sanitary
• Follow all food-safety, sanitation, and fryer-safety procedures
• Assist with inventory, ingredient rotation, and preparation for upcoming production
• Work independently to complete daily production and have the bakery ready for opening
