Job summary

Utz Quality Foods is seeking an Automation Line Operator Lead for a full-time night shift at our Kindig Lane facility. You will lead daily line operations, monitor performance, and assist with maintenance of robotic palletizers and conveyors.

The role emphasizes safety, team leadership, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment. Qualified candidates will have 1–2 years in manufacturing or food packaging, basic automation understanding, and forklift certification.

Qualifications

• Experience leading line operations in manufacturing or food packaging.
• Familiarity with automation/robotics and safety protocols.
• Forklift certification and the ability to work 8–12 hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day on the line, monitor performance, and support maintenance of automation equipment.
• Supervise operators and forklift handlers during shifts and ensure safety compliance.
• Communicate issues to leadership and drive continuous improvement on the line.
• Verify correct case orientation, packing patterns, and pallet configurations.
• Operate HMIs to start, stop, reset, and troubleshoot equipment.
