DK Security, Inc. is seeking a part-time overnight armed security officer to safeguard a military base in the Greater Lansing area. A Michigan CPL and prior armed experience are required; duties include patrolling, access control, and reporting incidents with professionalism.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, ability to work weekends, and the physical demands of lifting up to 70 lbs and standing for long shifts. Base pay ranges reflect experience and site differences.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
• Must have a valid Michigan CPL.
• Must have prior armed experience in security, law enforcement, or military roles.
• Must read and write English and interpret safety documents.
• Must pass a criminal background check with no disqualifying convictions.
• Must pass a psychological evaluation.
• Must pass a drug test at hire and annually thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Ensure unauthorized persons do not access restricted areas; check IDs.
• Conduct foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned areas.
• Provide courteous customer service to clients, visitors, and staff.
• Maintain professional appearance and adhere to grooming policy.
• Be ready to respond to emergencies, administer CPR/First Aid/AED if needed.
• Communicate with client staff and site supervisor about security matters.
