Job summary

Belmont Behavioral Health System in Philadelphia is seeking a Behavioral Health Associate to provide personal care to patients under clinical or nursing supervision. You will maintain a safe, empathetic environment and document care in patient records.

Responsibilities include safety checks, group facilitation, daily living activities support, and coordination of transportation as needed. Requires a high school diploma and CPR certification; de-escalation and restraint training offered on hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months or more experience working with the specific population of the facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a sense of urgency related to patient safety and provide excellent customer services.
• Ensure the well-being of patients and provide a positive, supportive and structured environment.
• Conduct safety checks and ensure supervision at 15 minute intervals as required.
• Document timely, accurate clinical information in patient records.
• Assist in providing a safe, secure and comfortable environment for patients, families and staff.
• Interact with patients, observe behaviors and communicate observations to nursing staff.
• Assist with activities of daily living as needed (toileting, bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, hydration, linens).
• May obtain patient vital signs, height and weight and document in records.
• Facilitate educational-rehabilitative groups covering social and coping skills, anger management and independent living skills.
• Engage patients in activities to achieve treatment goals and assist with follow-up documentation.
