KLA, a global leader in semiconductor manufacturing solutions, seeks engineers and scientists to advance overlay metrology and related systems in Hillsboro. You will partner with engineering, sales, and customer teams to demonstrate capabilities, design experiments, and develop data-driven improvements across next-generation tools.

The role emphasizes hands-on tool development, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

MS or PhD in Physics or related engineering fields such as optics, materials science, microelectronics.
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
Superb communication and interpersonal skills.
Self-driven and independent, while being a strong team player.
Proficient in English and able to work with diverse teams.
Matlab/Python experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide high level applications support of complex Overlay measurement systems.
Manage in-house customer demonstrations and head-to-head activities at customer sites.
Conduct new tool demonstrations to showcase performance and develop use cases.
Design experiments to characterize tool/subcomponent performance and support ramp.
Develop recipes to model optical applications and optimize tool performance; assist field support.
