Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 0–2 years of field experience or technical training in utility or construction preferred.
• Basic understanding of utility line construction and safety protocols.
• CDL Class A license or willingness to obtain within timeframe is preferred; OSHA 10 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with construction, maintenance, and repair of energized and de-energized overhead distribution systems under direct supervision.
• Load, unload, and organize tools, materials, and equipment on trucks and job sites.
• Identify and sort different sizes and types of materials for pre-assembly.
• Set up work zones, traffic control, and grounding systems in safety standards.
• Maintain and operate company vehicles, trailers, and power tools in good working condition.
• Support line crews by preparing tools, assembling materials, and ensuring the job site remains clean and organized.
• Understand and follow Minimum Approach Distance (MAD) requirements and maintain safe clearances.
• Assist in rigging operations, pulling wire, framing poles, and other linework tasks.
• Perform physically demanding labor, including lifting up to 60 lbs, climbing, kneeling, digging, and working at heights or in trenches.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and promote a safe work environment.
• Participate in safety meetings and tailgate briefings.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet project deadlines.
