Job summary

Gregory Electric is seeking a semi-skilled Overhead Groundman to support line crews in building and maintaining overhead distribution systems. You will handle tools, organize materials, and set up safe work zones outdoors in all weather, following MAD requirements and directions from skilled workers.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and 0–2 years of field experience, with a willingness to learn and comply with OSHA safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 0–2 years of relevant field experience or technical training preferred.
• Basic understanding of utility line construction, tools, and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assist with construction, maintenance, and repair of overhead distribution systems under supervision.
• Load, unload, and organize tools and equipment on trucks and sites.
• Set up work zones and grounding systems per safety standards.
• Maintain company vehicles, trailers, and power tools in good condition.
• Follow MAD requirements and maintain safe working clearances.
