Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Full-Time Civil Engineering (Transmission) Intern for our Syracuse, NY office. You will work with the Overhead Transmission Line Team on real projects during a 12-week summer program, gaining hands-on design and site experience.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited engineering undergraduate program with graduation Aug 2027 or later.
• Must be 18+ years old.
• Interest in Overhead Transmission Line Engineering.
• Ability to diagnose issues and develop solutions.
• Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with data collection and analysis from sites, blueprints, GIS data and maps.
• Support overhead transmission line engineering design and research tasks.
• Perform basic engineering calculations and document findings.
• Create concise documentation using drawings and field notes.
• Follow safety guidelines and site procedures.
