Job summary

Utility Lines Construction Services, LLC seeks an Overhead Distribution Working Foreperson to lead crews in installing and repairing overhead distribution systems, including poles and cables. The role demands hands-on management, safety leadership, and strong problem-solving abilities in demanding outdoor environments.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old
• Strong communication skills both written and spoken
• Knowledge of working with energized high voltage systems requiring specific skill set
• Able to identify, operate and service all required tools and equipment (bucket truck, digger derrick truck, tensioners, puller, rollers, hand tamp, chain saw, concrete saw, shovel)
• 5+ years experience in the electrical power line construction industry
• Proven OH Maintenance experience required

Responsibilities

• Directs and assists crew with all parts of the electrical system.
• Obtains daily job descriptions and follows up with General Foreperson.
• Ensures daily testing and inspection of assigned tools and equipment.
• Problem solves with unidentified circumstances on any job.
• Implements and enforces the safety program at field level for employees.
• Ensures employees are trained and qualified to perform the work.
• Ensures employees understand all safety rules pertaining to assigned work.
• Conducts quality job briefings.
• Conducts safety inspections using the Job Behavior Observation program.
• Conducts incident investigations.
• Enforces compliance with rules and regulations.
• Reports injuries and incidents to supervision promptly.
• Assists with installation of Overhead Power Supply.
