Job summary

Pike Electric LLC is seeking a Class A Lineman in Westminster, SC. The role focuses on constructing and repairing overhead distribution systems, including energized and de-energized lines, with emphasis on safety.

Travel to multiple job sites, including out-of-state locations, is required as needed by operations and customers. You will report to the Foreman and lead crews when the Employee in Charge is unavailable, while training apprentices and groundmen.

Qualifications

• Five years of overhead line experience.
• Valid CDL.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Work extended hours including weekends/holidays and on-call.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction, maintenance and repair of overhead distribution systems (energized/de-energized).
• Lead crew in absence of supervisor and conduct safety briefings.
• Train and mentor apprentices and groundmen.
• Install/repair overhead lines, poles, insulators, conductors and hardware.
• Know switching/tagging, grounding and voltage effects with proper tools.
• Climb structures and work at heights in various environments.
• Operate bucket trucks, digger derricks, tensioners and pullers.
• Respond to outages/storms and on-call rotations.
• Perform live-line work using approved PPE and hot-stick techniques.
