Job summary

Pike Corporation is seeking a safety‑conscious Class A Lineman to build and repair energized and de‑energized overhead distribution systems across multiple job sites. You will report to the Foreman and may travel to out‑of‑state locations to meet client needs.

Essential duties include leading crew members in the absence of the EIC, mentoring apprentices, and performing live‑line work with proper PPE and equipment. This position requires CDL, heavy lifting, and availability for on‑call rotations.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of recent overhead line experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift/move up to 50 pounds and work extended hours.
• Willing to work outages, storms, and on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintenance and repair of overhead distribution systems.
• Lead crew members in absence of the Employee in Charge and conduct safety briefings.
• Train and mentor apprentices and groundmen.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, insulators and conductors.
• Operate bucket trucks, digger derricks and other equipment safely.
• Perform live-line work using insulating gloves and hot-sticks.
