Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is a leading provider of overhead distribution construction and repair services. This role focuses on safe, efficient handling of energized and de-energized lines across potentially multiple sites, including out-of-state locations.

The Class B Lineman will install, maintain and repair lines, operate bucket trucks and other equipment, and perform live-line work with proper PPE. Candidates must meet CDL requirements and be prepared for varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Three years of recent overhead line experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction and repair of overhead distribution systems.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Follow switching, tagging, grounding, and induced voltage procedures.
• Climb structures using approved methods and equipment.
• Operate and maintain bucket trucks, digger derricks, tensioners and pullers.
• Work outdoors in varied conditions including outages and storms.
• Perform live-line work using gloving and hot-stick techniques.
• Adhere to safety protocols and PPE.
