Job summary

Pike Corporation is seeking a Class B Lineman - Overhead to join our team in Minnesota. The role involves construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical overhead distribution systems, requiring skill in handling high voltage systems. Candidates must have at least 5 years of field experience and demonstrate strong safety awareness. This position demands physical labor in various weather conditions and may require travel to different locations. A Commercial Driver’s License is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of recent field experience.
• Able to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License permit within 60 days.
• Must have experience with safety protocols in electrical work.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintenance or repair of overhead work.
• Troubleshoot in primary and secondary systems.
• Work on energized and de-energized systems.

Skills

5-year minimum field experience

Ability to read and communicate in English

Understanding of grounding procedures

Willingness to work live high voltage lines

Ability to perform rigorous physical labor

Ability to work outside in inclement weather

Education

Commercial Driver's License preferred
