Job summary

Gregory Electric Company, Inc. is seeking a skilled Utility Lighting Installer to join our field operations in Spartanburg, SC. You will build, maintain and repair overhead and underground lighting distribution systems, ensuring safe, efficient service.

Responsibilities include pre-job planning, reading blueprints and schedules, operating a bucket truck, and complying with OSHA standards. A high school diploma and CDL A are required; technical training or hands-on experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, work orders and procedures.
• Advanced knowledge of OSHA standards for energized and de-energized work conditions.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem resolution; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• TWork safely while performing new construction, maintenance or repair of energized and de-energized overhead and underground distribution and lighting systems.
• Conduct pre-job planning based on job prints and work orders
• Working knowledge of overhead and underground line work, construction standards and installation
• Identify primary and secondary voltage on a circuit, and underground pulling equipment
• Understand sloping, shoring, excavation, minimum approach distance and ladder requirements
• Operate bucket truck safely
• Excavate dirt, rock, concrete, and other materials using hand tools and power equipment
• Support safety initiatives using personal protective equipment and line protection devices
