Training and safety are emphasized as you gain experience from junior to foreman through varied daily tasks, including emergency calls on a rotating on-call schedule.

Qualifications

• Prior experience on construction sites with a focus on door hanging, fabrication, or mechanical installation.
• Hands-on knowledge of glass installation, welding, and hand/power tool use.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics and apply mechanical knowledge to overhead door systems.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair overhead doors — garage, sectional, rolling steel, and related hardware — using hand and power tools.
• Perform glass installation for door panels or windows as needed.
• Conduct welding and fabrication to modify or reinforce door components to spec.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately assemble and install systems.
• Apply construction skills — metal stud framing, carpentry (including trim), and locksmithing — to support installation projects.
• Apply caulking, sealants, and weatherproofing for optimal insulation and durability.
• Perform electrical work related to fixture installation or door system components as required.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, including installation logs and schematic diagrams.
