Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Overhead Door Technician to install, repair, and troubleshoot overhead doors across commercial and construction sites. Roles range from junior to lead/foreman, with overtime opportunities and pay that scales with experience and certifications.

On a typical day, you will diagnose issues, install custom doors, read schematics, and perform welding or fabrication as needed. Training and a clear pay progression follow, with emphasis on safety and craftsmanship.

Qualifications

• Prior experience on construction sites with door hanging, fabrication, or mechanical installation.
• Hands-on knowledge of glass installation, welding, and hand/power tool use.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics and apply mechanical knowledge to overhead door systems.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair overhead doors and related hardware using hand and power tools.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to install systems.
• Perform welding and fabrication to modify or reinforce door components to spec.
• Apply caulking, sealants, and weatherproofing for insulation and durability.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, including installation logs and schematic diagrams.
