Job summary

5 Star Electric, LLC is seeking an Overhead Distribution Lineman – A Class for Midland/ Odessa/ Lubbock, TX. The role requires climbing poles, working energized lines, and performing construction and repair tasks with a focus on safety.

Candidates should have four years of line experience, a valid Class A CDL with medical card, and be willing to travel and work overtime, including storm duty. OSHA 10-hour training within 60 days is required.

Qualifications

• Four years of experience in electrical line work or equivalent hours.
• Valid State Driver License and Class A CDL with current medical examiner card.
• Background and MVR checks; pre-employment drug screen.
• OSHA 10hr Safety Training within 60 days.
• Ability to travel and work overtime, including storm duties.
• Ability to climb poles and work outdoors in varied weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of electrical line work methods, practices and equipment.
• Maintain safety precautions and identify hazards.
• Climb poles and perform strenuous duties in various weather conditions.
• Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively.
• Operate service trucks and assist with line construction and repair as needed.
• Respond to work orders for disconnections, reconnections, and new lines.
