Job summary

5 Star Electric, LLC (5 Star) is seeking an Overhead Distribution Lineman – A Class in Grove City, OH. The role involves working energized and de-energized lines, setting poles, wiring, and installing transformers for distribution projects.

Candidates must have four years of experience or equivalent, a valid driver license, a Class A CDL with medical card, and be willing to overtime and storm work. OSHA 10 training within 60 days is required, with potential 40–60 hour weeks.

Qualifications

• Requires four (4) years of experience or equivalent hours.
• Must possess a valid State of Residence Driver License.
• Clean Class A CDL with current medical examiner card.
• Be willing to work overtime and storm work.
• Crews can work 40-60 hours per week.
• Must complete OSHA 10hr Safety Training within 60 days.
• Completion of formal training or four years of verifiable experience including three years of energized work.

Responsibilities

• Thorough knowledge of methods, practices and equipment of electrical line work.
• Thorough knowledge of hazards of electrical work and necessary safety precautions.
• Climb poles and perform strenuous duties in varied weather conditions.
• Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Work with angry or difficult customers and maintain safety standards for crew.
• Operate service truck and related tools and equipment.
• Read and record data from meter dials accurately.
• Digs holes and sets poles for electrical lines; strings wire on new construction or repairs.
• Sets and connects transformers and other distribution equipment; climbs poles for repairs.
