Primoris T&D in Charlotte, NC is seeking an experienced Overhead Distribution Foreman to supervise field crews performing construction, maintenance, and repair of overhead electrical lines.

Candidates should have 5+ years as an Overhead Distribution Journeyman Lineman, 2+ years in a foreman role, a valid Class A CDL, and strong leadership and safety skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience as an Overhead Distribution Journeyman Lineman.
• At least 2 years in a Foreman or supervisory role.
• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical distribution systems, construction methods, and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays including emergencies.
• OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification preferred.
• First Aid/CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise crew in overhead electrical line construction, maintenance, and repair.
• Ensure work meets safety regulations, company policies, and standards.
• Plan daily activities, schedule personnel, equipment, and materials.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders for accurate execution.
• Conduct daily safety briefings and hazard analyses; implement actions.
• Train and mentor crew on procedures and safety.
• Operate and maintain bucket trucks, digger derricks, and heavy equipment.
• Perform hands-on work: climb poles, install/repair conductors and line equipment.
• Inspect progress and ensure quality and compliance.
• Maintain records of work, materials, and crew hours.
• Communicate with project managers, clients, and stakeholders.
• Respond to emergencies and outages as needed.
