Job summary

United Utility Services is seeking a Designer to develop overhead electric distribution designs and process field survey data using GIS and our work management system. The role includes preparing CAD drawings, estimates, and maintaining alignment with utility standards.

You will support circuit designs, assist with maps, and collaborate with project teams while staying updated on client guideline changes and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/associate degree in engineering, technology, or power distribution design/engineering is required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Good oral and written communication skills are required.
• Ability to interact with clients in connection with project design responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Update GIS software to reflect current field conditions.
• Design and process construction work requests for overhead distribution systems using prescribed guidelines.
• Prepare CAD drawings and construction drawings for QA and design review.
• Prepare distribution circuit designs with basic understanding of circuit drawings and distribution concepts
• Assist with field survey data, maps, and other required documents during projects.
