Job summary
United Utility Services is seeking a Designer to design overhead electric distribution projects and strengthen the client’s grid. You will process field survey data, circuit drawings, utility standards, and feeder upgrades using GIS software and the company’s work management system.
Responsibilities include preparing CAD drawings, updating project activities, and collaborating with QA, Design Supervisor, and client engineers to ensure accurate configurations and timely delivery of project
Qualifications
- Bachelor or associate degree in engineering, technology or related field required.
- 3–5 years power distribution design/engineering experience required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Valid driver's license; ability to pass background and credit check.
Responsibilities
- Design overhead electric distribution projects to strengthen the client’s grid.
- Process field survey data, circuit drawings, and feeder upgrades using GIS and project tools.
- Prepare CAD drawings and construction documents for QA review.
- Update design activities in the project management system and track progress.
- Attend client meetings to define project scope and document notes.
