Job summary

ENGlobal Corporation in Houma is seeking an Overhead Crane Technician to inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial lifting systems. You will ensure cranes operate safely and comply with safety standards to minimize downtime.

The role requires at least 2 years of overhead crane experience, ability to read electrical schematics, test loads, and perform preventive maintenance. You will work outdoors in a shop environment and pass pre-employment screenings.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 2 years experience with overhead cranes mechanics.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.
• Must be able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine preventative maintenance, load test, and root cause analysis.
• Read electrical schematics, program variables, and repair motors, festoons, and pendant controls.
• Repair or replace heavy components such as gears, wheel bearings, wire ropes, hook blocks and brakes.
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.

Main Purpose

Requirements

Physical Requirements

Desirable Experience, Education and Training

• Voltage meters, pilers, screw drivers and all other tools used in the maintenance of Overhead Cranes.

Environmental Conditions

80 to 90% of the work activities are performed outdoors in a shop. Individuals will be required to work in changes of temperature, hot, cold, humid, wet, and dry conditions, dust, mud, etc.
