Job summary

Vertiv Corporation is seeking a Rigging Mechanical Fitter to safely move, position, and assemble large mechanical components on the manufacturing floor. The role requires experience with overhead cranes, rigging, and blueprint interpretation to support production schedules.

Ideal candidates will be safety-minded, capable of handling oversized materials, and able to read drawings and lift plans while performing mechanical assembly with hand tools and torque wrenches.

Qualifications

• Experience in rigging, crane operation, heavy material handling, or mechanical assembly.
• Ability to read blueprints, lift plans, and technical drawings.
• Strong safety focus and teamwork.
• Knowledge of load control and lifting safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safety-focused attitude in support of plant goals.
• Safely inspect and use rigging equipment.
• Operate overhead cranes to lift and install large components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, lift plans, and work instructions.
• Assemble mechanical components using hand tools and torque wrenches.
• Maintain records of inspections and work performed.
• Follow lockout/tagout and plant safety requirements.
