Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Rigging Mechanical Fitter for the 2nd shift at our Pelzer, SC plant. The role focuses on operating large forklifts (15K–35K) and overhead cranes, reading blueprints, and assembling copper and aluminum components.

There is overtime and the plant is not climate-controlled but has large fans. Candidates should be mechanically inclined with experience in chain hoists, shackles, and slings; forklift or crane experience is acceptable with no certification required.

Qualifications

• Experience operating large forklifts and/or overhead cranes.
• Ability to read blueprints and use hand tools.
• Capable of lifting 50+ lbs.
• Overtime availability and willingness to work variable shifts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety, reliability, and productivity toward plant targets.
• Move parts with forklift and crane as required by shipping needs.
• Read blueprints and install copper and aluminum as needed.
• Document production quality requirements and any performance gaps.
