Job summary

Frey Consulting Group in Butler, IN seeks an experienced Overhead Crane Operator to safely move heavy steel coils in a steel-processing facility. You will operate a 25/35-ton overhead crane to load and unload trucks and rail cars and supply production equipment with material.

The schedule features four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday, with overtime possible on Fridays. The position offers a $23.00 hourly wage with a paid lunch and breaks and a small, safety‑driven team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience operating an overhead crane in a manufacturing, steel, fabrication, warehouse, or similar industrial environment.
• Strong commitment to safe crane operation and material handling.
• Ability to remain on your feet throughout a 10-hour production shift.
• Ability to consistently work the assigned schedule and arrive on time.

Responsibilities

• Operate a 25/35-ton overhead crane to safely move and position steel coils.
• Pull coils from inventory and put incoming coils away.
• Load and unload trucks and rail cars.
• Load and unload production equipment.
• Supply steel coils to slitting and other production operations.
• Verify that the correct material is being moved and positioned.
• Communicate with production employees to coordinate safe material movement.
• Follow OSHA and company safety procedures when operating cranes and handling heavy materials.
