Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure in North Carolina is seeking a hands-on crane operator in a precast production environment. You will safely operate and maintain an overhead crane, pouring concrete into molds and moving heavy pieces, while following strict safety and quality procedures.

The role requires readiness to perform production floor tasks, perform pre-operation checks, and assist with equipment cleaning and maintenance as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of related experience preferred.
• Willingness to also work as a laborer on the production floor as needed.
• Excellent depth perception and coordination.
• Able to understand and apply basic math to determine weight of items to be lifted.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate an overhead crane to pour concrete into molds and strip concrete pieces weighing up to 20 tons.
• Identify forms and products and ensure safe handling of concrete pieces.
• Maintain pre-operation checklist and inspection procedures.
• Clean and maintain equipment.
• Other responsibilities may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed.
