Job summary

American Furniture Warehouse is seeking drivers to haul freight regionally with a HOME WEEKLY schedule and 34-48 hours of home time. The role features weekly payroll and top pay with bonus opportunities, plus a strong benefits package. Most loads are drop & hook; 98% no-touch freight and pre-planned trips.

You’ll drive AFW-owned freight, not depend on others, and receive paid orientation. AFW emphasizes family values and offers 6 benefit plans, 401K, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance

Qualifications

• At least 1yr. OTR tractor-trailer driving experience in the past 3 years.
• No major FMCSA violations.
• Acceptable MVR and PSP within the last three years.
• Must be able to maintain a CDL.
• Mountain driver a plus.

Responsibilities

• Commitment to AFW's safety policies and procedures and the ability to promote awareness.
• Able to perform vehicle pre-trips up to FMCSA standards.
• Ability to operate Electronic Qualcomm Log System.
• Must be willing to chain up during severe weather.
• Must be aware that operations occur on asphalt, concrete and gravel surfaces in a hostile environment often contaminated with material subject to embedding in tires.
• Must function and interact on a routine basis with the AFW management team.
• Communicate using a cellular telephone with dispatch and AFW personnel via McLeod application.
• Ability to efficiently work independently of direct supervision.
• All training provided by AFW.
