Job summary

American Furniture Warehouse is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Manager to lead EHS programs, training, employee health awareness, and regulatory compliance across AFW facilities.

The role includes developing and maintaining programs, conducting trainings, monitoring safety performance, reporting statistics, and traveling to multiple locations within our Texas facilities as needed. Starting pay is between $49,394.80 and $70,564.00 annually DOE, with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of AFW safety policies and procedures to communicate, solve and enforce.

Job description

The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager will be responsible for managing EHS programs and EHS Coordinators. This includes managing safety training, employee health awareness, compliance with safety regulations and procedures. Will manage and assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of environmental health and safety programs, procedures/practices necessary to provide for safe and healthy working conditions for employees and to help operate the facility in an environmentally responsible manner.

Starting pay between $49,394.80-$70,564.00 annually DOE (Depending on Experience). We offer competitive compensation and benefits packages to all our Team Members.

Physical Requirements

• Requires the ability to maneuver in confined and at times congested areas
• Requires the ability to stand, walk, stoop, & bend for 8 hours or more daily
• Requires constant use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back
• Conducting training or an investigation that requires lifting, griping, bending, kneeling, stooping and moving equipment or merchandise
