Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Ocala, FL seeks a CDL Class A truck driver to transport building materials to dealers, distribution centers, and job sites using a tractor-trailer.

You will maintain accurate logs, perform vehicle inspections, and ensure safety and compliance, with up to two nights on the road per year. Full-time position with comprehensive benefits available on day one.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license required.
• Minimum two years of truck driving experience, preferably long-haul.
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
• Willingness to tarp and strap flatbed loads.
• Experience operating trailer-mounted forklift.
• Familiarity with GPS and AVL electronic equipment.
• Ability to handle the physical demands of loading/unloading cargo.

Responsibilities

• Transport goods to destinations, often across state lines.
• Load, secure, and unload cargo safely.
• Maintain delivery logs and mileage records.
• Perform regular vehicle inspections and maintenance.
• Adhere to traffic laws and company policies.
• Plan efficient routes using GPS.
• Coordinate with dispatchers and communicate with clients.
• Monitor traffic and weather for safe driving.
