Job summary

Landmark Snacks is seeking an Oven Operator to manage the cooking process, set up and monitor oven temperature and time controls, and ensure product quality throughout the bake. You will load and unload products, verify cooking parameters, and record readings as part of daily quality checks.

Candidates should be comfortable with lifting up to 50 pounds, have basic reading/writing skills, and be able to learn new equipment quickly.

Qualifications

• Related food production experience is preferred, but not required.
• Must be able to lift and push 50+ pounds with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Sufficient written communication and reading skills.
• Ability to operate or to quickly learn equipment.
• Good time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to follow directions and assess product quality.

Responsibilities

• Cook products according to established standards.
• Maximize oven use to ensure oven is loaded to capacity and filled at all times when necessary.
• Prep, load, and unload ovens.
• Monitor cooking throughout the day.
• Take and record preliminary pH and Water Activity readings.
• Clean ovens on prescribed schedule.
• Make changes to oven programs as directed.

Overview:At Landmark Snacks, the oven operator is an integral part to the production process. The oven operator supervises the cooking process for our products. As part of your responsibilities, you set up, monitor, and adjust oven temperature and time controls. You’ll examine the products during and after cooking to ensure product quality.
