Job summary

Elkhart Plastics is seeking a Machine Operator for the 3rd shift (Sun-Wed, 7:30pm–6:00am). You will operate molding equipment to produce quality parts, following setup sheets and maintaining equipment to meet ISO standards, with a $20/hour base plus $1 shift premium.

The role involves handling ovens, cranes, forklifts and hand tools, and requires ability to read and write English, plus 1–2 years in manufacturing. Safety and quality are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and write proficiently in English.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• Ability to operate and maintain industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all necessary information and tools required for each job are in place before work begins.
• Pull and review setup sheets prior to starting a job.
• Maintain equipment required for molding machines.
• Stage products properly after molding and move to required staging locations.
• Complete all assigned projects by the due date.
• Review production priorities.
• Meet or exceed all training requirements including ISO standards.
• Meet or exceed production targets.
• Produce molded products using designated methods (e.g., ovens, cranes, hand tools).
• Inspect products for conformance to quality standards.
