Job summary

Epic Games seeks a Modeling Outsource Lead to supervise outsourcing partners, provide creative feedback, and manage asset pipelines for high-profile projects. You will align with Art Leads and Directors, document workflows, and ensure in-engine implementation.

The role demands a strong portfolio across hard surface and organic assets, prior AAA shipping experience, and excellent communication with external vendors to maintain quality and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience shipping AAA titles across multiple platforms.
• Strong portfolio showing game assets for hard surface and organic forms.
• Ability to mentor outsource teams and communicate feedback clearly.
• Proficiency with modern game art tools (Unreal Engine 5, Substance Painter, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Establish visual direction for outsourcing vendors with Art Leads and Directors.
• Collect and document asset production workflows and engine requirements for external vendors.
• Provide concrete feedback to outsource partners and ensure internal teams understand goals.
• Document processes for vendors, including vert count, materials, LOD, and in-engine implementation.
• Train outsource partners in Epic's techniques and best practices.
• Foster remote team collaboration and ensure asset approvals with IP owners.
